- Small fragment of a round flat pyxis lid; ivory; both surfaces decorated with incised decoration; one surface edged with stylized flower pattern with stylized tree motif below; other side has inter-twined geometric motif; outer edge decorated with guilloche; there is a slot through the thickness, rectangular in shape for dowel to hold tow pieces of ivory together; dowel pegged from surface with tree motif.Muscarella Publication: "A squared corner fragment of a box or handle. On one side is an incised scroll pattern, on the other an incised tree over a twelve-petaled rosette band of the same type as no. 248; a dowel hole exists above the tree and a slot passes through the width."Incised
